How to Clean and Maintain Inkjet Printers

Inkjet printers are more suitable for printing color pictures or photos, so they are more suitable for individual users. for individual users, the maintenance cost of inkjet printers should be as low as possible. If you can do simple daily maintenance at home, you can reduce the number of times send them to the service station, and you can reduce the daily expenses. Now, Asseel will show you how to maintain an inkjet printer in the spring.

The most important part of an inkjet printer, and the most vulnerable part is the nozzle. Inkjet printers mainly have micro-piezoelectric and thermal foaming technologies. Taking thermal foaming technology as an example, this technology firstly heats the ink and then through nozzle sprays it onto the printing paper to form an image. Therefore, keeping the print head unobstructed can make the inkjet printer work properly. Dry and windy sand in spring makes it easier to block the print head, so daily maintenance in this area is especially important.

Print head clogged of the inkjet printer is a serious problem, especially like the weather is dry in the spring, the printer head will be clogged after the printer has been out of use for some time. In order to solve this problem, inkjet printer manufacturers are also equipped with a boot automatic cleaning print head function on most products, and a button to clean the print head to ensure the normal operation of the printer. however, the automatic cleaning function is not always using good. If you encounter a serious blockage, you need to clean it manually. Below we also introduce several ways of manual cleaning.

Before cleaning, first determine the cause of the blockage. Some of them are caused by the viscosity of the ink on the print head becoming large, so you only need to manually remove the print head, and then wipe and clean the print head, you can solve it. however, if a non-original ink cartridge, or a non-genuine ink cartridge, because of the chemical coagulum in the ink or a large particle impurity, then the  simple cleaning cannot solve the problem.

Manually solve the nozzle clogging method:

1、Alcohol soaking

Prepare a 95% concentration alcohol solution and place it in a flat-bottomed container. The alcohol solution is limited to just cover the stainless steel edge of the printhead. The soaking time is usually between 2 hours and 4 days. The alcohol solution dissolves impurities in the ink and does not damage the print head. It also ensures high quality printing after cleaning. However, the disadvantage of this method is that it takes a long time and is cumbersome to operate.

2、Pressure cleaning method

Same as the solution used in alcohol soaking, but requires a clean cup, disposable syringe and disposable infusion set. By using the pressure generated by the siphon action of the syringe, the organic solvent of alcohol is injected into the print head to clean the dry head. the advantage of this method is that the cleaning effect is good and the time is short, which can solve the problem of lower serious blockage. but the determination is that the operation is more complicated and requires some skill.

3、Distilled water cleaning

If you encounter a more serious blockage, then use distilled water cleaning. Distilled water is cleaner and easier to handle congestion in small areas. The same operation method as the pressure cleaning method can solve the problem of congestion after repeated cleaning.

If the above three methods can not solve the problem of nozzle congestion, then you need to go to the repair station for repair, or replace the print head. But users don’t have to worry, as long as we do daily cleaning and maintenance, and buy genuine ink cartridges, we can solve the problem of nozzle blockage to the greatest extent.

Printer Shipments in Major Cities of India Declined in 2017

Printer Shipments in Major Cities of India Declined in the Fourth Quarter of 2017

Printer Shipments in Major Cities of India Declined in 2017Recently, according to a survey conducted by a market research company, the International Data Corporation (IDC), the number of printers shipped from 50 major cities in India after “strong growth” in printer shipments in major cities in India in the third quarter of 2017 In the fourth quarter of 2017, it decreased by 17.5%.

Among them, inkjet printers accounted for 52.2% of the overall market for printer shipments. India’s Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai are the top three printers in India, while Pune, Vadodara, and Bangalore are the major growth markets for India’s printer shipments in the fourth quarter of 2017, with average growth rates. It is 19.1%.

In the fourth quarter of 2017, India’s printer shipments showed a declining trend due to the weakening effect of India’s New Product Service Tax (GST) on accounting work. IDC stated that Indian printer suppliers and channel partners are mainly driving sales growth of printers in the Indian market through channel sales plans, end-user promotions in major markets, and regular channel expansion plans.

AbHishek Mukherjee, senior analyst at IDC India, said: “Compared to laser printers, the low cost of owning printers and printing is the reason for the increase in shipments of inkjet printers in India.”

In addition, in the category of inkjet printers, CISS/inkjet printers dominated the Indian printer market in the fourth quarter of 2017. India’s third- and fourth-tier cities have created 50% of CISS printers. The demands of SOHO (Small Offices and Home Offices), SEMs (SMBs), Cooperative Banking Departments, and Printer Service Providers are the main drivers of increased demand for ink cartridge inkjet printers in these markets.

Global retail printer

Global retail printer and supplies market’s Growth rate will reach 5.3% next 10 years

Recently, relevant research institutes released a forecast report on the growth of global retail printers. The report shows that the global CAGR for CAGR from 2016 to 2017 is 4.8% CAGR and the CAGR of this printing market is expected to reach 5.3% in the next 10 years. It is estimated that by the end of 2027, the market value of this printer market About 46.89 billion US dollars (about 304.24 billion yuan); global retail printer market value of about 8.550 billion US dollars in 2017 (about 55.171 billion yuan), the average annual compound growth rate of about 5%.

It is reported that retail printers mainly refers to the retail applications in a wide range of labels and receipt printing equipment. According to different application areas, the global retail printer market can be divided into desktop retail printers, industrial retail printers, mobile retail printers and other types of retail printers. Other retail printers include special-application retail printers such as note printers and wristband label printers.

The report also shows that the market value of mobile retail printers is expected by the end of 2027 will reach about 1.898 billion US dollars (about 123.15 billion yuan). Quantitatively, mobile retail printers and desktop retail printers are expected to produce 2,257,000 units and 1,871,000 units by the end of 2027 respectively.

The global retail printer supplies market can also be divided by type, application, and region. According to the type of consumables, it is estimated that by the end of 2027, paper will account for 41% of the total retail printer consumable share. Due to the increasing use of labels in the field of warehousing and online retailing, plus the use of labels in transactions to safeguard assets, The estimated market value and quantity of consumables are expected to show substantial growth during the forecast period.

In addition, by region, Asia Pacific and North America have the largest market potential in the global retail printer market. The growth of the retail printer market in these regions is mainly driven by the increase in disposable income, purchasing power and retail activities worldwide. However, the limited compatibility of retail printers with different operating systems in the above regions is also a constraint to their growth. Due to the fragmentation of the supply chain, the growth trend of retail printers in Eastern Europe and Latin America is slowing down. Its growth prospects are still not optimistic.
